Expansion

RollerCoaster Tycoon has had two Expansion Packs released for it so far Added Attractions (Corkscrew Follies U.S) and Loopy Landscapes which included AA/CF in it. As I bought this I’ll be reviewing them both as a single product as I don’t know which came from the AA pack.

As you start the game the first little difference is a selection of new park shots for the opening but the menu seems the same. When you select the new game tab you are given a large box with five tabs to choose from

Original Levels, Added Attractions levels, Loopy Landscapes levels, Real Parks, and Extras. Most a pretty self explanatory but the last two could use an explanation. Real Parks is a selection of real life parks produced in detail, Extras is simply extra levels made by Chris Sawyer (I seem to only have one! hardly worth the tab).

In game features are greatly improved there are now lots of differen styles of path support and lots of different types of pavin. Theming has been vastly expanded (I’m in love with the jurrassic theme) and you can now colour your queuing paths.

The new levels are very engrossing and the inability to make an entrance fee to your park really makes it harder.

Overall the expansion packs to RCT greatly improve the games playability I would recommend them to anyone who enjoys RCT it’s really worth your money and a triumph to the games potential
